Release Note - TMS 12.6

Dear TMS user,

Please note that TMS (prod.fifatms.com) was upgraded to version 12.6 on Tuesday, 24 June 2025. In our continued efforts to support you and provide efficiency through TMS, the following updates have been implemented:

FIFA ID during player confirmation
As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce player duplication in the system, the former association is now asked to provide the player FIFA ID before confirming a newly created player in TMS.

We remind you that member associations must assign each player a FIFA ID when the player is first registered in their National Registration System, according to art. 5 par. 1 of the FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (RSTP).

By confirming a player in TMS, the former association confirms that the player was last registered with it (according to art. 13 of Annexe 3 to the RSTP) and shall provide the corresponding FIFA ID.

You can find more information about this topic in the online Help Centre:
International transfers > Player confirmation in TMS > Player confirmation

New filters available in Transfers tab

Following the amended version of art. 11 of Annexe 3 to the RSTP in force since January 2025,  if the former association fails to respond to an ITC Request within 72 hours, the new association is now able to register the player with the new club. In consequence, the following two new filters have been added in the Transfers tab:

  • The Registration type filter allows associations to identify the transfers completed without an ITC delivered within 72 hours following its request by the new association.
  • The Sporting sanctions filter enables both clubs and associations to identify transfers where a sporting sanction has been declared by the former association.

Loan cap exemption status visible in transfer summary
A new field has been added in the transfer summary to identify whether a loan is exempt from the loan limitations set out in art. 10 par. 6 of the RSTP.

If the criteria set out in art. 10 par. 7 apply, the field "Loan cap exemption status" appears in the transfer summary of the releasing instruction.

Messaging disabled after EPP approval

Once the Electronic Player Passport (EPP) is approved, users are no longer able to send messages to FIFA within the EPP message functionality. For any requests, please contact the TMS Helpdesk.

Thank you for taking note of this important information, which we hope has been helpful and clear. Should you have any questions, please contact the TMS Helpdesk at TMShelpdesk@fifa.org.
