Confirm registration (without ITC)

If the former association does not respond to an ITC request within 72 hours of the request, the new association may register the player without receiving the ITC.

Once the 72-hour period has elapsed, the transfer status will automatically change to “Awaiting Registration Confirmation”, allowing the new association to enter and confirm the registration information in TMS.

TMS includes a clock that starts counting from midnight (Swiss time) on the date the ITC request is made. This should be taken into account when determining when the transfer status will change to “Awaiting Registration Confirmation”.

The example below shows how the relevant deadline is calculated in TMS.

To confirm the registration, search for the relevant transfer and click “Update ITC Details”.

If necessary, review the transfer details. In amateur transfers, associations are encouraged to review and, where necessary, update their clubs’ details before confirming the registration.

When ready, click “Confirm Registration”.

Enter the player’s registration date and (if desired) national ID details. The player’s registration date cannot be prior to the date on which the new association confirms the registration in TMS.

Professional transfers will include the option to review the engaging club’s training category and, if applicable, update it to reflect the correct information. Any changes made to the training category will be reflected in the club’s details under Stakeholders > Clubs in TMS.

Once ready, click on “Confirm registration” once again.

Once you have confirmed the registration, the transfer status will update to “Closed” or “Closed – Awaiting Payments” in the case of a permanent transfer and “On Loan – Awaiting Payments” or “On Loan – Awaiting Conclusion” in the case of a loan transfer.

Identifying the player registration type

Member Associations may filter transfers based on whether the ITC was delivered or whether the player was registered without its delivery. Associations should review players who have been registered without the delivery of an ITC and ensure that the players are duly deregistered from their electronic registration systems to maintain accurate information.
