Confirm conclusion of loan

Scenario: the player was transferred on loan from club A to club B. At the end of the loan, the player’s employment contract with club A has ended and the player will remain out of contract.

Club A must choose the “Confirm conclusion of loan” option only if all three conditions are met: (1) the loan agreement between club A and club B has expired or been terminated; (2) the player’s employment contract with club A has expired or been terminated and the player remains out of contract; and (3) the player will not return to club A.

Note: By confirming the loan conclusion, the original loan will enter “Closed” status. As a consequence, it will no longer be possible to process a “Return from loan”, “Loan extension” or “Loan to permanent” instruction. A “loan conclusion” cannot be undone or cancelled. Accordingly, club A must take great care when deciding to confirm the conclusion of the loan. Club A must not confirm the loan conclusion if it wishes to process the loan into one of the other three options available at the end of the loan, i.e. return from loan, loan extension or loan to permanent.

Confirm the loan conclusion

To confirm the conclusion of the loan, club A must search for the original loan and click on “Confirm conclusion”.

Note: club B cannot close the loan. If club B wants this to happen and the relevant conditions have been met, it should contact club A accordingly.

Enter valid remarks in the relevant field, tick the checkbox and click on “Yes, conclude the loan”, if applicable. Review the details of the loan transfer and the original employment contract of the player carefully before proceeding with this option.

What happens next

At this point, the loan’s status will change to “Closed” or “Closed – awaiting payments”.
