Viewing claims

If you are acting as a Member Association, you can see the list of claims submitted in TMS by your affiliated clubs and the list of claims where one of your affiliated clubs is selected as the respondent or former club.

If you are the respondent club, you will only be able to see the claim and access its details once the claim reaches “Awaiting response” or “Awaiting response to proposal” status.

If you are the player’s former club in a solidarity contribution claim, you will only be able to see the claim and access its details once you are required to act, if applicable.

Processing a claim before its submission

During the creation of a claim, you can save the information entered at any time by clicking “Save”. Click on “Save and close” if you want to save the claim and complete it at a later stage. Click on “Discard and close” to cancel all of the changes made prior to saving the claim. If you have not saved the claim at least once, the claim will disappear from the system.

You can edit or cancel the claim until its status is “Pending”.

Once the claim has been submitted, the claim can only be cancelled by the FIFA Player Registration and Transfer Data Department.

To request the cancellation of the claim at this stage, the claimant must send an official letter to the TMS Helpdesk, indicating the name of the player, the claim ID and the reason for the cancellation.

Different claim statuses

Depending on the status of the claim, you will have certain action buttons available to process it. If applicable, a deadline by which you must act will be displayed. Use the action button next to the instruction or on the blue bar at the top of the page to proceed.

If more than one party needs to provide a response to the claim, an “ACTION REQUIRED” message will be displayed underneath the status. This message means that you must take action on the claim.

Once you have taken the necessary action, the “ACTION REQUIRED” message may disappear but the status will remain the same until the deadline expires.

Deadlines

The claims process in TMS relies heavily on deadlines, which are indicated under the relevant status.

After a deadline expires, it may take up to 24 hours for the claim status to update. If the status has not updated 24 hours after the deadline expired, please contact the TMS Helpdesk.

Search options

To look for a specific claim, enter the claim ID or the player name in the search field on the right-hand side of the page. Click “Show filters” to search for a claim by type, status or instruction date.

Click “Clear filters” to start a new search.
